We don't often get a lot of time to rehearse and write and with the winter whipping through Michigan, we continue to enjoy our time in the basement. It's a wise choice as we're starting to finish some pretty kick ass tunes and we're getting really excited about playing them live. But for our one and only show of the month, we are a bit reserved and decide to save the new tunes for debut in March.

It's Feb. 13, Friday the 13th and we head up to another one of our favorite places to play, the Machine Shop in Flint. This time we're sharing the bill with Detroit pals Long Black Sedan and those Flint hussies in Dixie Hustler we've also brought in Four Barrel Ghost from Pittsburgh to start the show. A good solid bill at the best place to host it.

Four Barrel Ghost rolls in with their psychobilly cow-punk and gives Flint town a taste of their Pittsburgh medicine. It was fun to see them here in our state and hang out with them for the night. Long Black Sedan is next with their bluesy, lemmy meets skynyrd rock n' roll. It was good to see a good sized Detroit crowd make the drive north for the show. Broadzilla is up next and we're plagued with feedback trouble from the get go. A quick fix from the sound man and we're back in business by the second song. We like playing the Machine Shop cuz Kevin lets Kimmy breathe fire there. Ever since the Rhode Island tragedy, our fire breathing routine has had the smack down at almost every club we venture into. So we're thankful that Kevin trusts us enough to know we're not going to burn his place down. And finally, Dixie Hustler rolls into the Machine Shop, they played an early gig at another venue up the road and though they look tired and sweaty, they ripped out one mean set of rock n' roll, finishing off a super cool night.

Afterwards, we head back to BZ central where we shack up the Four Barrel Ghost crew for the night. A trip for breakfast at Delmar is in order the next morning before shipping them back off to Pittsburgh. Always a fun time when they're in town.

And that wraps up February. See you next month.
